PAUL COOPER - Pastor

Pastor Paul has been at MBC since July of 2007 as the lead pastor. He has a lovely wife named Amy and 3 daughters (Abigail, Sadie, & Molly). He likes to say he is the minority in the sorority. His passion is seeing people come to Jesus and then learn to grow as followers. He also loves Star Wars, cheering on the Marshall Lions, and for some unknown reason he is a Miami Dolphins fan.

MELISSA MILBOURN - Worship & Media Minister

Melissa has served on the worship team at MBC since 2017, and was named Worship and Media Minister on August 9, 2020. She came to us with over 20 years of experience as both a worship leader and media specialist.  Melissa is wholeheartedly devoted to leading people closer to Jesus in worship.  She is married to Denny and they have three adult children.  Both Denny and Josh (her youngest son) often join her on the praise team.

JACLYN STROHM - Children's Minister and Office Manager

Jaclyn joined our staff in May 2019 as the Children's Minister.  In 2021 she also took on the responsibilty of Administrative Director.  Jaclyn is a servant leader, serving the families of Marshall Baptist well by leading AWANA and the Children's ministry well.  She's also a great administrative director, if you have a question you need answered regarding the church, she typically knows the answer, we often say that she holds the office brain.   She has a great heart for the church, students, and the community. She is married to Corey and they have 4 children, Conner, Alexis, Alaina, and Alivia.  And though Jaclyn may run the office and Children's ministry at church, Lainey's the boss at home.

LACE WALLACE - Youth Minister

Lace was called to serve in MBC Youth almost 3 years ago. She grew up in the church and belonged to an amazing youth group. Her youth group was instrumental in her own decision to accept Christ as her Lord & Savior and she desires that for the youth in our community.  She is honored to work alongside an amazing team of leaders, as they work together to help students follow Jesus! ​

ANGEL SANDERS - Assimilations Director

Angel has been a great asset to the MBC Family for many years through our amazing VBS and the acclamation and training of volunteers in various outreach events. What do retired VBS Directors do... they become volunteer Assimilation Directors who help people follow Jesus. Angel is a local PreSchool Teacher, works with Marshall MAYN, is an AWANA Leader, an active supporter of many organizations around the community, and a cheerleader for those in the body of Christ.  She is married to Tony, a Deacon at MBC, and has 4 children: Taylor, Justin, Ryan, and Faith.​

CHRIS SCOTT - Technical Director

Chris is a technical wizard and computer genius.  He makes things happen and explain how it happens only to leave confused faces.  He love collecting and playing guitars, singing classic rock tunes, drinking coffee, and riding motorcycles on long trips to Colorado. He is married to Sherri and they have two sons, Nick and Kaleb.

MARLO HUFFINGTON - Treasurer

From owning her own business, to working in the corporate world, to teaching business classes, MarLo has had much experience in business practices and bookkeeping.  A former Chairman of the Board for Hearts at Home Ministry, and now we're glad to have her involved in Marshall Baptist's Ministry. MarLo has a daughter (Lydia), a foster child (Winter), and two stray cats. (She says they are stray cats but they've been there for a while, and they'll still be there tomorrow.)

ELDERS

Derek Sheets

​Derek and his wife Mindi joined MBC in 2016. The MBC youth programs (AWANA, VBS, MBC Kids) and invitation to join a Connect Group were key factors that lead them to join the MBC family.  Derek has a call to work with the youth and has lead small groups of junior high and high school students for 8 years in multiple churches.
Derek works for Marathon Pipeline in Martinsville and has served in various leadership positions over the last 10 years. Recently he has been convicted to bring those leadership experiences to serve here at MBC. He enjoys hunting, golfing and watching college athletics.  Derek and Mindi have two children, a son (Avery) and daughter (Ali).

Chad Wilkin

Chad and his wife LaDonna are the Directors of Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Indiana State and joined MBC in February 2020. They have been married since June 1997 and served together in ministry for 24 years working with youth, adults, and college students. They have a passion to see the next generation become leaders on mission with Jesus. Chad's passion for leadership development, discipleship and spiritual health led him to complete his Doctorate of Ministry in 2020. His desire is to use his gifts and knowledge to empower others to reach their Godly potential. The family resides in Terre Haute with their three children Josiah, Jocelyn and Jensen. They were drawn to MBC because of the quality of the ministries, the people and a desire to be on mission with a Christ centered Church.

Austin Marshall

​​Austin and his wife Rachel joined Marshall Baptist Church in 2017. They are the proud parents of two vibrant young boys, Rex and Leo. Austin serves in several areas at MBC: the Building Committee, Safety Team, VBS, AWANA, MBC Youth, and is active in MBC connect groups. Austin discovered his call to leadership at MBC from the advice of Christ- centered mentors and an increasing desire to serve. He works at North American Lighting in Paris, IL as an Engineering Supervisor. Outside of church and work you may find him spending time with his family or learning something new.

Bob Miller

Bob is a servant leader.  You'll often find him doing whatever needs to be done around the church, from fixing a toilet to preaching. Bob also serves in the band, and his wife, Pam, serves faithfully on the tech team.  A prayer warrior and mentor to many, we're glad to have Bob as one of our elders!
